Are you listening to the right voice?

As an ID, you always aim to write perfect storyboards .In your penchant to perfection, do you ensure that every single sentence that you write is near perfect and then only proceed to the next sentence? If your answer is a proud "yes", then you will be disappointed to know that your modus operandi is actually wrong. Let's understand the reason behind it.

When you write or visualize an idea, you activate your creative voice. The creative voice is the voice of your right-brain. It is the voice that lets the ideas flow. No matter whether you write or visualize a story board, you should let the ideas flow without trying to make it perfect. When you try to make it perfect, you are activating your evaluative voice. The evaluative voice is the voice of your left brain. When you activate the evaluative voice without letting the whole ideas flow, you are interrupting the process. You are switching from using your right brain to your left brain. As a result, there is a block that prevents the ideas from flowing completely. So you should concentrate on putting the ideas to the paper at the the first cut. Later, you can correct the flaws and make your storyboard perfect in your second cut.
